Grow a Garden Pet Weight Calculator
Calculate your pet's weight by age, find its hatch and max weight, and check its size class (Huge, Titanic, Godly, Colossal) for any Grow a Garden pet. Also known as the GAG pet calculator — works for every species, no signup.
Pet Weight Calculator
Enter your pet's current weight and age. Use Age 1 to check hatch weight directly. We back-calculate the hatch weight to give the class, plus its max weight at Age 100.
Tier is set by the pet's weight at Age 1 (hatch). Thresholds cross-checked 2026-06-29 across the fandom community list, growagardencalculator.ca and gamecalc.net: Huge 5, Titanic 7, Godly 9-9.99, Colossal 10+. Per-pet weightTiers in pets.json are a different dimension (adult cumulative weight) and are NOT used for tier classification.
How to use the Pet Weight Calculator
Inspect your pet to read its weight in kg and its age, then type both in. If you just hatched it, leave Age at 1 to check the hatch weight directly. The calculator back-calculates the hatch weight, maps it to a class, and shows the max weight it will reach at Age 100. The pet picker is optional — the kg thresholds are the same for every species.
How pet weight works (and how it grows)
A pet's size class is fixed by its weight at Age 1 (hatch). As it ages it gains about one-eleventh of its hatch weight per age, so at Age 100 it weighs 10× its hatch weight— that's its max weight. Weight sets a pet's starting stats, growth rate, max size, and how strong its abilities get.
In-game, "Huge" is actually a rare 0.1% hatch modifier that multiplies hatch weight by 4× (huge pets hatch at roughly 3.52–8.80 kg). The kg thresholds below are the community convention players use to label a pet by its hatch weight.
Weight Class Thresholds (kg)
Classes are set by weight at Age 1 (hatch). The heavier it hatches, the higher the class — Huge, Titanic, Godly and Colossal pets are far more valuable in trades.
| Weight Class | Hatch Weight (kg) | Trade Value |
|---|---|---|
| Small | < 1 kg | Below base |
| Normal | 1 – 4.99 kg | Base value |
| Huge | 5 – 6.99 kg | Significantly higher |
| Titanic | 7 – 8.99 kg | Very high |
| Godly | 9 – 9.99 kg | Extremely rare & valuable |
| Colossal | ≥ 10 kg | Rarest — community tier |
Thresholds follow the mainstream community scale (Huge 5 / Titanic 7 / Godly 9). Official classes stop at Godly (9+); Colossal (10+) is a community label. Some lists also use finer sub-tiers (Semi Huge / Semi Titanic) — we keep the widely-cited main scale.

Frequently Asked Questions
What is the Grow a Garden pet weight calculator?
It's a free tool that takes your pet's weight and age and tells you its size class (Small, Normal, Huge, Titanic, Godly or Colossal), its hatch weight at Age 1, and its max weight at Age 100. Also known as the GAG pet calculator.
How do I calculate my pet's weight in Grow a Garden?
Enter your pet's current weight (kg) and its current age. The calculator back-calculates the hatch weight using the in-game rule that a pet gains about 1/11 of its hatch weight per age, then gives you the class and max weight. For hatch weight, just use Age 1.
What is hatch weight, and where do I see it?
Hatch weight is your pet's weight at Age 1, right after it hatches. Inspect the pet (click it and choose View, or open the pet menu) to see its kg. Hatch weight is what permanently sets the pet's size class.
What's the difference between hatch weight and max weight?
Hatch weight is the Age 1 weight that sets the class. Max weight is the weight at Age 100, when the pet is fully grown — always 10× the hatch weight. A pet that hatches at 6 kg maxes out at 60 kg.
What are the pet size classifications in Grow a Garden?
By hatch weight: Small (under 1 kg), Normal (1–4.99 kg), Huge (5–6.99 kg), Titanic (7–8.99 kg), and Godly (9 kg and up). Many players add Colossal for 10 kg and above, though that's a community label — official classes stop at Godly.
What hatch weight makes a pet Huge, Titanic, Godly or Colossal?
Huge starts at 5 kg, Titanic at 7 kg, and Godly at 9 kg (measured at Age 1). Colossal is the community term for 10 kg and above. In-game, “Huge” is also a rare 0.1% hatch modifier that multiplies hatch weight by 4×.
Does pet weight change as it levels up or ages?
Yes — a pet gains roughly 1/11 of its hatch weight every time it ages, reaching 10× its hatch weight at Age 100. But the size class is locked to the hatch weight (Age 1) and never changes, even as the pet gets heavier.
What's a good hatch weight to aim for?
Anything 5 kg or above at hatch is Huge and worth keeping. 7 kg+ (Titanic) is rare and valuable in trades, and 9 kg+ (Godly) is exceptional. Normal hatch weight is usually 0.88–2.20 kg, so a Huge takes real luck or the 0.1% huge modifier.
Do all pets use the same weight classes?
Yes. The Huge / Titanic / Godly / Colossal kg thresholds are global — they apply to every pet species. A 6 kg Raccoon and a 6 kg Dragonfly are both Huge. Only the kg number at Age 1 decides the class.
How does pet weight affect value and trading?
Heavier hatch weight means higher stats, faster growth, a bigger max size, and stronger abilities — so Huge, Titanic and Godly pets are worth much more in trades. Check the pet tier list and value list to gauge worth before trading.
Is this for Grow a Garden 1 or Grow a Garden 2?
This weight and size-class system is the original Grow a Garden (GAG1) pet mechanic. Grow a Garden 2 uses different systems — for GAG2 tools see our GAG2 calculators.
Is the “GAG pet calculator” the same as this tool?
Yes. “GAG” is short for Grow a Garden, so “GAG pet calculator,” “pet weight calculator” and “grow a garden kg calculator” all refer to this same tool.
Does this calculator save or send my pet data?
No. Everything runs in your browser and nothing is stored or sent anywhere. There's no signup and no login — just enter your weight and age.
My result looks wrong — what should I check?
Make sure you entered the pet's real kg (not its level or value) and the correct age. If you typed the hatch weight, set Age to 1. Estimates carry a ~2% margin, so a fully grown pet can be about 1 kg off on a 50 kg result.
